What is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a talking therapy which can help manage your problem by changing the way you behave and think. CBT looks at current problems rather than focusing on issues from your past.

What does a first session looks like?

Initial Assessment will be completed where information on presenting problem will be gathered, Karen will explain more on confidentiality, and also look at what your expectation of therapy are.

CBT is typically between 6- 12 sessions, depending on individuals and work required.

About Karen

Karen is member of BABCP- British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. Karen has experience working with addictions; alcohol, drugs, gambling, mental health, depression, low mood and anxiety. Karen has a CBT diploma in counselling and group work which is COSCA validated.
